Facility Overview:

Located near the Medical Center of Lancaster, Windsor Gardens is a 150-bed skilled nursing facility and rehabilitation center staffed by clinical professionals with extensive experience providing care.

Job Summary:

The primary purpose of the Staffing Coordinator, LVNis to ensure appropriate staffing utilizing the budgeted PPD. This position will be responsible for initial interviews, reference checks, licensure/ certification verification and Employee Misconduct Registry.

Job Requirements
Qualifications:

  • Current licensedLVN in applicable state
  • Experience staffing in a 24 hour operations healthcare setting
  • Ability to read, write and speak the English language
  • Proficient in Microsoft office products, including Excel
  • Experience in interviewing and hiring nursing department personnel
  • Experience utilizing electronic medical records system
Essential Functions:
  • Prepare \"monthly\" schedules for all nursing departments - schedule to be posted at 6 week intervals and 2 weeks prior to the expiration of the current schedule
  • Maintain a list of open positions
  • Prepare daily sign in sheets at least one week in advance
  • Monitor daily staffing per PPD and census utilizing the staffing grid
  • Maintain attendance records of nursing staff
  • Perform initial interview of nursing staff
  • Complete reference checks; licensure/ certification verification and Employee Misconduct Registry on potential new hires prior to employment of individual
  • Perform Orientation for Nursing personnel
  • Provide new hires a schedule on first day of orientation
  • Initiate Employee Health requirements (TB and HBV)
  • Communicate effectively with staff
  • Report to DON/designee daily of staffing patterns and/ or open positions
  • Maintain accurate phone list of nursing personnel
  • Check ADL books for completion
  • Monitor shower rooms for shower sheets
  • Maintain and update Daily Care Guides
  • Handle all staffing calls while on duty M-F
  • Perform initial disciplinary action for staffing issues on CNAs
  • Ability to function as a Role Model
  • Any other duties as assigned
