Description:

Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital a member of Trinity Health Of New England is looking for a Stationary Engineer & Coverage Mechanic to join our team of mission-driven healthcare innovators. This critical role performs a variety of duties in and around the buildings of the hospital complex in an effort to maintain Plant Operations 24/7. Duties include repairs, monitoring, and reporting problems with machinery, systems and mechanical equipment, heating, ventilation equipment, air conditioning, refrigeration systems, kitchen equipment, Building Management Systems, and Fire Alarm Systems. Professionally and safely operates the boilers, compressors, which provides for utilities such as light, heat and power. Must be able to make independent and timely decisions on all Shifts. Position to remain on site until relieved by an OE-2 Operating Stationary Engineer. Responds to off-shift Engineering calls. Performs relief work on assigned fluctuating work hours on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Work Hours/Shift:
  • Full-Time, 40 hours

You Will Be Responsible For:

Requirements:
  • Education: High School diploma, must be able to read and write the English language
  • Experience: 2 years experience in the operating and repair of high-pressure steam boilers and auxiliary equipment.
  • 3 years experience in basic repair and maintenance to Hospital facilities and equipment.
  • Licensure: OE-2 Operating Stationary Engineer Required
