Strategic Account Manager

Job Summary:

Responsible for nurturing relationships with key decision makers in the strategic accounts. Manages the monthly revenue of the existing book of business in strategic accounts through upsell and renewals. Identifies opportunities to expand the Notified portfolio through cross-sell of products in existing strategic accounts. Develops strategic account plans and actively establishes credibility with top executives at strategic accounts.

Essential Duties:

  • Manage the overall relationship with assigned strategic accounts
  • Lead the sales process in renewal and upsell opportunities
  • Identify opportunities to grow the Notified portfolio of products in a strategic account by engaging a Notified Cross-Seller
  • Locate the appropriate strategic account buyer for renewal and upsell opportunities, and make introductions as necessary for Cross-Sellers
  • Own and execute account-specific planning for strategic accounts to strengthen credibility and relationship with Notified
  • Nurture relationships with strategic accounts, increasing their affinity for Notified products, adding new contracts, and likelihood of renewals
  • Achieve assigned sales billing and bookings quotas
  • Establish reputation with key strategic executives as a trusted advisor with both industry knowledge and expert knowledge of Notified offerings; serve as go-to knowledge resource for executives
  • Develop and maintain understanding of the strategic accounts' business models and ongoing needs as related to Notified solutions
  • Communicate Notified value proposition to executive audiences; identify and articulate needs from strategic accounts perspectives
  • Advise executives in financial decisions including business cases and return on investment from purchasing a Notified solution
  • Proactively manage strategic account pipeline; input, monitor, and update opportunities in a timely fashion

Minimum Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Business, Information Technology, or a related field


5 - 7 years of experience in field sales or a strategic account management role

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Superior executive relationship management and demonstrated ability to sell into high-profile enterprise accounts
  • Excellent negotiation skills and proven ability to close large deals with executive-level buyers
  • Superior written and oral communication skills; proven ability to write effective executive communications, experience in delivering compelling presentations to executives and large audiences
  • Willingness to travel globally, on short notice, as needed
