Nature & Purpose of Position:

The student assistant will assist with the organization of all engagement-programming initiatives of The Graduate and Professional School.

Other Requirements for the Position:

General Duties:

• Support the day-to-day office responsibilities.
• Assist in the development and implementation of programs and events sponsored by the Graduate School
• Prepare materials for programs and events (i.e., giveaways, folders and bags, recording equipment, etc.)
• Assist with programs and events as needed.
• Assist with maintaining/updating existing websites.
• Perform other duties as necessary.

• Work effectively as a member of a high-paced team, both independently and in groups
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, faculty, staff, fellow employees, and the public.
• Display strong organizational skills and manage multiple on-going tasks.
• Possess the ability to learn quickly in using new technology, software, and social media.
• Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to think creatively and offer suggestions to supervisors. Willingness to work independently as well as collaboratively with careful attention to detail.
