We are looking for a Supply Chain Security Specialist for the Canadian Surface Combatant Project. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a team to build a security program from the ground up!!!

Location:

  • Option 1: Hybrid remote and onsite in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada (3-week rotation)
  • Option 2: Full time onsite in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada

The Supply Chain Security Specialist will fulfill a key role in the Canadian Surface Combatant (CSC) program, providing subject matter expertise with respect to continuous monitoring of the security posture of the supply chain. Reporting to the Team Lead - Security Assurance, the successful candidate will be required to work closely with Supply Chain representatives, Systems Engineering specialists and other internal and external stakeholders including the Royal Canadian Navy, facilities teams, vendors and others. They must work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to define and implement a continuous monitoring program for supply chain and support ongoing supply chain security assurance efforts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop plans and other materials in support of supply chain management activities.
  • Execute analysis and evaluation of supply chain security considerations, risks, issues, and mitigations.
  • Assess the impact of findings in reports, in terms of security risk, impacts to operations, quality and cost.
  • Interface with Supply Chain, Design for Build teams, and others to ensure Supply Chain processes align with and influence procurement and production processes.
  • Provide interface with the Quality Management team to support the Quality objectives of the project.
  • Make recommendations with respect to the identification, assessment, and automation of data collection in the context of continuous improvement and monitoring
Successful Candidate must possess the following qualifications:
  • Education Required:
    • Required: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Math, Computer Science, Business Management or equivalent.
  • Years of Experience Required:
    • A minimum of five years' experience in Supply Chain Security.
  • Knowledge and experience in:
    • Security management
    • Systems Security Engineering
    • Principles of Security Inspection
    • Security Risk Assessment
    • Process Management / Assurance
    • Quality Management
    • Manufacturing and Construction Processes
    • Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) and/or Co-ordination
    • Threat and Risk Assessment (i.e. HTRA, NIST 800-30 etc.)
    • Security system design (i.e. physical protection systems, network security, ITSEC etc.)
  • Problem solving skills and ability to lead and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Desired Qualifications Include:
  • Systems Engineering experience.
  • Additional post-secondary education in Security Management
  • Security certification as a Professional Certified Investigator (CPI)
  • Certification in Quality Management
  • Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)
