Job Description Summary:
Paypal is seeking a System Analyst - Data Reconciliation to join the Global Finance Operations team. This position is located in Omaha, NE. The System Analyst will manage and support data maintenance, configuration, and data reconciliation activities for the Accounting team by writing SQL queries for data analysis and be able to write stored procedures to automate the data reconciliation
A successful candidate must be self-motivated, have an inquiring mind and proactive nature. This role involves communicating, collaborating effectively with cross functional teams, from individual business users to executive management. He or she should be able to build relationships / partnerships and work cross-functionally to drive time sensitive deliverables, issues tracking and reporting.

Job Description:

  • Interpret business requirement and translate them into technical requirements
  • Ability to write complex SQL stored procedures, views, functions, strong performance tuning
  • Understanding of various data sets related to payment and finance
  • Experience working in ETL and data warehouse environments
  • Excel VBA skills
  • Strong analytical skills, critical thinking capabilities, and in-depth understanding of data.
  • Ability to collaborate with business users and engineers, brainstorm and strategize the "right" solution.
  • Initiate and document the requirements and associated functional specifications.
  • Understand impact of various projects and products have on the financial application and associated requirements.
  • Review and resolve production defect issues for business users.
  • Ability to work on projects to create automation of the recurring processes
  • Strong understanding of dashboards, BI reports and its functionality
