We're seeking a skilled Systems Engineer to perform analysis and modernization.
Responsibilities

• Guide system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans.
• Analyze user requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications.
• Formulate requirements, advise alternative approaches, and conduct feasibility studies.
• Provide technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology.
• Incorporate new plans, design and systems into ongoing operations.
• Interact with the Government regarding systems engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues, or conflicts.
• Analyze system requirements and lead design and development activities.
• Communicate with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.
• Maintain ultimate responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility.
• Develop system architecture and system design documentation.

OPERATING HOURS AND EXPECTATIONS:

• This position operates on a standard 8-hour schedule, Monday-Friday.

TRAVEL: This position does not anticipate any travel.
Qualifications

CLEARANCE: Active Top Secret / SCI and Full Scope/Lifestyle Polygraph is required upon application for initial consideration. *** This position is not open for any clearance upgrades, reactivation, or sponsorship.***

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor's Degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• 14 years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity within the Federal Government.
• 5 years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree.

PREFERRED SKLLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Background in applied System Engineering, System Design and Information Technology.
• MA/MS in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related disciplines
• Ability to work well in a small team environment.
• Ability to multitask.
