We have an immediate need for a Senior Systems Specialist provides technical IT project support for systems group within a pharmaceutical firm.

Job Duties

  • Intake computer system requirements (Hardware, OS, Active Directory, networking, firewall rules, security groups, backup/restore)
  • Author/update System Design and Config Spec (SDCS) and architecture diagrams
  • Initiates IT tickets in ServiceNow and builds computer system per company standards e.g. image the PC and add to Active Directory; Install anti-virus, backup/restore, and any pre-requisite software, enable remote management, kiosk mode etc.
  • Coordinates between multiple IT teams including site and Global IT infrastructure teams for deploying and troubleshooting applications
  • Initiates IT change ticket in ServiceNow and installs and configures application software per documentation

    • Skills Needed
  • Career driven, self-motivated, willing to learn new systems and skills. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure to minimize/avoid impact to site operations. Will be expected to respond to on-call support off-hours and/or weekends as part of a rotational schedule, if required. Be able to manage their time and prioritize their daily work.
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, or a related study (required)
  • Overall 7 years IT experience with at least 5 years software application implementation & support in Engineering, Technical Services, and/or Quality functions (required).
  • Windows Hardware, Desktop & Server OS, SQL Database and scripts, Active Directory, Basic Networking, Backupestore, Citrix/RDS
  • Barcode scanners, printers (Zebra label, P-touch)
  • MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive
  • Familiarity with following GxP processes used in Pharmaceutical industry (preferred):
  • Computerized Systems Validation (CSV) or Analytical Instrument Qualification (AIQ)
  • 21 CFR Part 11 regulations and Data Integrity compliance
