Systems Support Intern

About the Position

The Systems Support Intern will provide first and second line technical support to internal staff at our main campus as well as our remote staff. The successful candidate will work alongside our Systems Support team. This position will require an aptitude for working with applications and systems to undertake analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of staff problems, which may range from straight forward to more complicated technical issues.

Normal Day-to-Day Work

  1. Perform desktop and laptop installations and upgrades.
  2. Manage and maintain asset inventory within the Managed Information Systems department.
  3. Assist staff with troubleshooting, system support, problem and incident resolution and ticketing documentation in a timely manner.
  4. Plan and execute desktop and laptop roll-out and upgrade projects of hardware and software.
  5. Assist the Systems Support team in everyday technical responsibilities and other duties as assigned.


Job Qualifications

Here are a few skills you MUST have to be considered for this position.
  1. Currently working towards a degree in Computer Science, IT, Business, or related field of study.
  2. Knowledge of Windows 10 Operating System and Microsoft Office 365 product line.
  3. Time management and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  4. Ability to function in a Consumer business office environment and utilize standard office equipment including but not limited to: PC, copier, telephone, etc.
  5. Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. (file boxes, computer printer).
  6. Travel required sometimes


This is a paid internship, running May 17 - August 6. All candidates must be able to work on site in Raleigh, NC.
