Description:
To assist the cardiologist in all aspects of invasive cardiology including but not limited to scrubbing, circulating, monitoring and recording
hemodynamic parameters in accordance to policy and procedure. To collaborate with the Physician and RN in evaluating and adjusting care to
meet patient needs and goals. To assist in teaching patients and families when indicated. To provide comprehensive direct patient care under
the supervision of an RN and ensure a safe and comforting environment while maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Current BLS, AC LS, RT and AART certifications required; At least two years continuous clinical experience in the Cardiac Cath Lab/Special
Procedure setting preferred; Proficient knowledge of PC applications; Strong interpersonal skills; Ability to communicate clearly in English, both
orally and written.
Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology with continuing education in specialty area preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to see within normal limits (including identification of colors) with or without use of corrective devices
Ability to hear within normal range with or without corrective devices
Motor dexterity of hands and fingers
Ability to utilize proper body mechanics
Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
Ability to bend, lifts, move and pull frequently
Ability to lift at least 35 pounds without assistance
Ability to communicate in the English language orally and in writing
Ability to work in hot or cold areas
