Position Summary

The Talent Ambassador is responsible for implementing the marketing and candidate outreach strategies of Sun's Talent Acquisition Team. They will be responsible for cultivating candidate engagement externally and internally through social media, job fairs and hiring events. The Talent Ambassador will be responsible for establishing relationships with universities and organizations to increase awareness of Sun Careers.

Duties

  1. Coordinates and implements talent acquisition marketing activities including internal/external candidate engagement, maintaining and increasing Sun Careers social media presence, promotion of company incentives, and property-level activities
  2. Holds responsibility for Suns Manager in Training and Internship Program's recruiting process
  3. Identifies, schedules and attends career fairs and hiring events
  4. Establishes and maintains relationships with university points of contacts
  5. Screens and selects candidates against established criteria; conducts and coordinates pre-screen and onsite interviews with qualified candidates
  6. Acts as a champion for Sun Communities and Sun Outdoorsvirtually and while attending events
  7. Maintains proper documentation in candidate profiles, such as interview notes and other relevant documents
  8. Partners with the Organizational Development team to develop program content
  9. Posts positions and sources candidates via traditional and non-traditional methods including social media and various position or area-specific job posting websites and job boards
  10. Provides excellent customer service and communication to hiring managers through the recruiting process
  11. Ensures compliance with all regulations, policies, and best practices related to recruitment, hiring and employment
  12. Extends offers of employment to final candidates for Suns Manager in Training and Internship Programs
  13. Reviews metrics related to applicant source reporting to make recommendations on recruiting advertising spend
  14. Collaborates with Suns social media marketing team on talent acquisition related campaigns
  15. Holds responsibility for off-season communication with rehires and former interns, including creating a candidate newsletter
  16. Other duties as assigned


Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (Required)
  • 3 years recruiting or recruiting marketing experience
  • 1 year experience in a fast-paced business environment
  • 2 years experience organizing and attending hiring events
  • 6 months experience with Handshake Career Services
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasked environment
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Thorough understanding of recruiting-related functions
  • Advanced computer proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), the Microsoft Office Suite, email, and internet
  • Ability to respond to business needs after normal business hours.
  • Ability to travel by car or plane with overnight stays as required: minimum 30-40%
  • Knowledge of current social media technologies, trends and competition
  • Ability to design and manage social marketing campaigns via various social media sources
