RESPONSIBILITIES:

A Kforce client is seeking to hire a Tax Analyst in New York City, New York (NY). Responsibilities include:
  • Solicit, track, maintain investor tax forms, coordinate with external firms, and internal stakeholders on validation/acceptance of forms provided
  • The Tax Analyst will manage trial balance transformation process and upload to tax provision software for quarterly tax provision
  • Manage various tax notices from federal and state/local taxing authorities, maintain notice trackers, and determine appropriate action items, including forwarding notices to appropriate internal/external parties
  • Work with external tax advisors and in-house tax teams on various tax notices to address and resolve the potential issues
  • The Tax Analyst will prepare various tax elections and forms (e.g., Form 8832, Form 8875, etc.)
  • Coordinate with BPG Legal for application of US Employer Identification Number for real estate entities
  • Administer document management system for tax team, including organizing files in appropriate folders, downloading/uploading documents, maintaining archives, and putting together virtual investment closing binders
  • The Tax Analyst will reconcile between tax project invoices and vendor contracts to ensure proper invoices and payments
  • Other tax administrative tasks and various ad-hoc tax projects, as required


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 1-3+ years of recent related experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite and basic software tools
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a very fast-paced and team-oriented environment
  • Excellent project management skills and applies a pragmatic and efficient approach to handling complex assignments
  • General knowledge of accounting and/or taxation preferred
The hourly or salary range at the top of this posting is the lowest to highest compensation range we, reasonably and in good faith, believe that we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. The amount and availability of any form of compensation that is allocable to a particular employee remains in the Company's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified at the Company's sole discretion, consistent with the law. The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
