The Designer reports to the Design Supervisor, and is located in Irvine, CA.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Designer is responsible for commercial kitchen technical drawings (MEPs). Working closely with senior designers on MEPs for design/build projects, as well as awarded BID jobs from the estimating department. Will work closely with the Design Supervisor.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate on multiple commercial kitchen projects, focusing on technical drawings
  • Researching manufacturer specs, shop drawings, and details to fine tune the MEPs
  • Meet/coordinate with Senior Designers on their design/build projects
  • Resolve drawing issues
  • Attend MEP design reviews and meetings with Senior Designer
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned

  • Organizational skills, including the ability to work within tight schedules and deadlines, as well as the capacity to succeed in an environment of rapidly changing priorities
  • Interpersonal skills leading to effective communication and interaction
  • Possess conceptual and strategic thinking skills
  • Must have technical and design skills

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
  • Experience in Architecture, Industrial Design, or related field
  • 1-2 years' experience in a professional design environment/department
  • Food service design experience preferred
  • Advanced computer skills including AutoCad, Revit, Adobe Suite, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check


The range provided represents the national average pay range for this position and is considered to be a general guideline. Pay for this position will reflect the candidate's unique qualifications and may be higher or lower than the range provided based on employee geographic location. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other local, state, and federal law.

In addition to base salary, this role will be eligible for participation in TriMark's' benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, 401K (with employer match), etc. Leadership positions may also qualify for participation in bonus programs commensurate with role and scope of responsibility.
