Lead the technical delivery of highly scalable and performant restaurant/retail technology, in collaboration with cross functional business and technology teams. The role will lead a team of software engineers and developers in an Agile environment to build cloud, on-premise, and hybrid retail solutions with features that support product and brand roadmaps, and personalized customer experiences.
This position can be located in our Oklahoma City Support Center or Atlanta Support Center.
Research, select, develop, deploy, communicate and maintain in-store technology and related solutions for all restaurants. Solutions noted also include all business partner relationships, their service level monitoring and budgetary commitments.
Serve as the subject matter expertise relates to all facets of point of sale, peripheral, back office solutions, above store reporting and system interface while demonstrating experience in improving restaurant operations introducing new and creative application of technology.
Oversee the engineering execution (backlog grooming, work estimation, engineering best practices, coding, and delivery) of strategic guest experience initiatives.
Develop and lead a team of highly skilled business, technology and staff members tasked with supporting strategic initiatives as well as promoting new process and procedures that enhance the return on investment made in our in-store technologies. Individual development plans for direct reports and key staff are required as a living document.
Direct and manage implementation partners (onshore and offshore) for all engineering activities.
Manage department G&A budget to include all staff, service and business partner expenses within established guidelines and budgets.
Maintain current knowledge base related to all regulated and internal compliance requirements. In addition, provide IT management forward looking plans for maintaining compliance across all spectrums of in-store technology after coordinating with department peers.
Deliver solutions in an Agile environment; implement and leverage best practices and proven methodologies (e.g., Scrum and Kanban) to deliver iterative and frequent capabilities, features, and releases.
Provide critical linkage amongst restaurant, operations, architecture, infrastructure, product, and marketing teams to identify and prioritize the product features aimed to deliver the highest value experience and return on investment.
Effectively manage Projects and Programs: manage assigned projects and programs either directly or by overseeing project leaders and program managers. Review and approve project team structure, staffing, project plans, project budget. Deliver regular status reporting to IT management. Act as liaison with vendors of contract services to project teams.
Provide training and development opportunities, including stretch assignments, for team members and give honest and open feedback to aid in the development of talent

4 year degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or related preferred
8+ years of experience in the areas of retail solutions engineering in a high-traffic and transaction environment
8+ years of experience working in a large-scale, global company known for its digital presence, preferably a Fortune 500 company

Exceptional communication skills including written, verbal and presentations
Deep software engineering and technical experience; leading highly technical teams and platforms in web, mobile, and/or ecommerce
Demonstrated experience implementing and delivering in an Agile environment
Ability to perform a variety of responsibilities at the strategic and operational level
Demonstrated success in management of key creative projects through external agency / managed service vendor
Experience working in a large-scale, global organization with a reputable digital presence
Proven expertise in contract negotiation, formalization and ongoing vendor management
Ability to attract, energize and develop team members through incentives and timely feedback
Leader of leaders; Experience leading leaders, who in turn lead their teams
Knowledge and experience collaborating with cross functional stakeholders to transfer strategy to practical application
