We are actively hiring for a Technical Program Manager - Cloud Transformation. Join us and support CSAA Insurance Group, a AAA Insurer, in achieving our goals.

CSAA has embarked on a multi-year transformational journey of adopting Cloud 1st approach for its digital adoption. The journey involves setting up the AWS foundational landscape, appropriate security and governance practices, and creation of new capabilities, and potentially migration of applications and workloads.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the CTO, the program manager will lead a large-scale Cloud Transformation Program

  • Build and lead the implementation of a prioritized roadmap of the cloud transformation journey

  • Conduct the Cloud Executive Council meetings with the CIO, CISO, CTO and VP-IT Ops.

  • Participate in other governance forums to ensure adherence and compliance to program objectives

  • Lead multiple initiatives and multi-functional teams of resources spread across multiple geographical locations through meetings and progress measurement activity which bring specific projects to completion both on time and within budget.

  • Initiate the Project; define and/or reviews the project statement of work, develop and/or review an audience list, determine how much involvement is vital from the partners, SMEs and other team members, as well as determine and assess need for additional staff and make the appropriate recruitments during the project cycle.

  • Identify risks, restrictions and constraints of the project and develop a project strategy to mitigate risks. Conduct and present a feasibility study / cost-benefit analysis to the business partners. Clearly define project objectives. Set goals and resolves measures to track progress.

  • Planning; develop project schedules, estimate span times for all activities in all projects, identify all dates that must be met. Develop a schedule for regular project-updates and reports and review Gantt Charts for all projects. Identify skills and knowledge vital to perform all activities. Review project budgets, prepare a detailed budget estimate and consult with strategic sourcing for approved costs. Identify risks and assesses the potential effect on all the projects, mitigate as necessary. Select a well-organized team and figure out team's operating practices and procedures.

  • Executing the project; ensure that objectives are accomplished for all projects within time and budget targets. Evaluate reports on schedule performance against plans and ensures that problems that arise are handled. Encourage project managers and program managers to ensure that all actual hours worked are recorded. Review, evaluate, course correct as needed to keep project on time and in budget.

  • Controlling the project; resolve priority, work approach or interpersonal conflicts as necessary. Control project changes by collecting pertinent information, evaluating the performance compared to the plan and sharing with key partners. Contribute to team members' performance appraisals.

  • Closing the project; ensure all required approvals from the clients have been acquired. Confirm project managers and / or program manager have resolved and reconciled all outstanding transactions. Ensure all project work effort or expenditures posted to incorrect accounts are adjusted and that no future charges can be made to the projects accounts. Recognize and reward team members' contributions. Conduct post-project evaluations, assess project outcomes, activities, processes and identify techniques to use in the future as well as those that didn't work, we won't use again.

What would make us excited about you?

  • Bachelor's degree in related area or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Very good understanding of Cloud principles, technologies especially AWS products / services and implementations a huge plus

  • Ability to apply Agile practices (Scrum, Kanban etc.) and project/program management best practices and methodology.

  • 5+ years leading large Programs/Projects from 50,000 - 500,000 Hours

  • At least 1 Cloud Program consisting of cross-functional development teams, preferably under AWS and/or Hybrid Cloud environment

  • Prefer advanced degree in related area and experience in one of CSAA IG's business lines a plus.

In compliance of Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (EPEWA) we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles that will be, or could be performed in Colorado. If performed in Colorado, this position has a salary range of $122,995-$144,700 with an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, through our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP), of up to 15% of eligible pay.
