  • Direct the Manufacturing Floor in determining quality requirements from prints, published specifications and establishing standards where no product or vague specification exists
  • Utilize Quality tools (Capabilities, Basic Statistics, Control Charts and Sampling) to improve Quality and adjust inspection frequencies as needed
  • Lead Inspectors as needed to perform daily product verification
  • Lead Root Cause analysis with assigned Corrective Action personnel and provides closure to action items with Corrective Action follow up
  • Interact with Customers on Quality Issues
  • Submit RMR and RMA Corrective Action Responses and Sample Submissions as required by the customer and supplier
  • Lead systems to support TS 16949 compliance activities through auditing
  • Lead/Direct Suspect Product Containment Activities
  • Lead improvements in plant PPM measures through error proofing and participating in continuous improvement activities.
  • Support SPPD launch initiatives by performing print reviews, project management under the direction of the Quality Manager
  • Participate in CR and APQP meetings and complete action items as required
  • Initiate and monitor internal Change Order progress under the direction of the Quality Manager
  • Perform Measurement Systems Analysis on tooling and measurement systems under the direction of the Quality Manager
  • Management of MRB, Supplier PPAP, and Supplier Non-Conformances under the direction of the Quality Manager
  • Understand the Quality Policy and review with new hires in the orientation process
  • Some travel required (planned and in emergency situations)
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Associate degree required
  • Willingness to complete Quality Training Courses and obtain Certifications as described in the attached Senior Quality Technician Training/Certification schedule
  • 7 plus years of experience in manufacturing quality environment
  • PPAP/Customer experience with a Tier One automotive sector required
  • Experience in supporting TS 16949 auditing methodology as it pertains to Quality Systems
  • Experience in developing PPAP's Control Plans, FMEA's, Flow Charts, Sampling and Basic Statistics, Blue Print Reading, GD&T, Statistics, Knowledge of Inspection Techniques, Preventive and Corrective Actions
  • Experience with processes (machining, welding, forming, assembly), and products required
  • Lead experience in quality preferred
  • Ability to audit Quality Systems/processes independent of others
  • Ability to problem solve and use of quality hand measurement tools
  • Excellent communication skills with internal and external customers
  • Ability to work with others in a team/customer environment
  • Willingness to work flexible work schedules
