What You Will Contribute:

Badger Meter is looking to hire a Territory Manager to support our Customers in Southwest Texas and New Mexico. This person reports to a Regional Sales Manager. Successful applicant must live in Texas. This position requires 65% travel.

  • This position requires regular, planned visits to established and new potential accounts for the purpose of securing sales and growing Badger Meter market share within an assigned territory across all authorized product lines. Also responsible for market share growth and includes collaboration with Badger Meter approved alliance partners and management of Badger Meter authorized distributors within assigned territory.
  • Annually - Attain sales plan objectives for Residential, Commercial, Industrial and AMR (Automatic Meter Reading) / AMI (Automatic Meter Infrastructure) products for direct and distribution customers.
  • Develop and maintain an outstanding corporate image of Badger Meter, Inc. and operate within our Code of Business Conduct.
  • Optimize the Solution Architects, under the direction of the Regional Manager, for sales assistance and training.
  • Perform promotional work to sell and secure new accounts and maintain good rapport with existing accounts.
  • Keep accounts informed, trained, and educated on new products and developments on all Utility products and provide excellent customer support in all facets of the sale.
  • Prepare and submit periodic activity and expense reports per established policies and procedures.
  • Assist the various Badger sales managers in gathering information or providing assistance as required to secure additional sales for Badger Meter products and services.
  • Provide additional support as required by the Regional Manager. Work with the region's Solution Architect as required.
  • Summary of all presentations and demonstrations to specific customers and prospects shall be included in the customer CRM system included in the customer or prospect file.
  • Work with and support the distributor network within their geographical area (if applicable). Account profiling, technical demonstration, training and overall product and market knowledge, assistance and support is required by the Account Manager.
  • Maintain constant surveillance of territory for new accounts and submit a report on such prospective accounts to the Regional Manager.
  • Submit quote prices, terms of sale, delivery dates, etc. to customer within his/her designated authority.
  • Attend various conventions as scheduled and assist in staffing as requested by the Regional Manager and/or
  • Influence direct customers' RFPs and Bids to favor Badger Meter Solutions


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from a four year college ​
  • 65% Travel Required
  • 5+ years of experience required in a sales, account management, or related role
  • Advanced in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Powerpoint, and Salesforce or related system
  • Experience selling Badger Meter products a plus
