Training Specialist - Roofing Products, Pre/Post sales, Field We are currently seeking a REMOTE/FIELD based professional for a TRAINING SPECIALIST who will perform field service and support for our roofing tiles, and other roofing products, specifically around installation, product usage, product specifications, etc. We need someone who will work out of the greater Dallas/Fort Worth, TX region, who can work remotely, and effectively on the road, working and interfacing effectively and efficiently with our customers, end-users, contracted installers, contracted partners and our sales force....This person needs to be organized, a strong communicator who is a focused team player who is passionate about the product, the space, and helping others.
In support of sales and customer satisfaction, this Technical Trainer will be responsible for conducting the product installation training for the Sales representatives and customers at various locations, distributions centers and customer locations.
In this role, you will work hard within our target markets to understand key decision makers goals and motivations and then develop relationships and programs for effective training of our customer base in the usage, benefits, specifications of our products in the field.
In this role, you will support our key Stone business unit by working to increase the profitability of existing products to developing new products for the company, working closely with team members on the front line, and using customer feedback, notes and other interactions. Similar experience with other construction materials in the Roofing, roofing tiles space or other similar will also be directly relatable.
Your work will help us to develop new products from existing ideas, and help to originate new ideas based on my industry experience and contact with customers and prospects.
You will also help us to identify NEW markets to understand their opportunities for growth, identify possible challenges/problems, and find innovative solutions for the broader market.
Some of what you will be responsible for, will include:
" Develop, document and consolidate company's position and offering in energy efficiency, life cycle analysis and green issues.
" Measure and proactively manage portfolio profitability by region, leading rationalization efforts.
" Market analysis including customer demand, competitor pricing/performance.
" Identify and resolve product gaps and the need for product enhancements.
" Identify opportunities for new products and support the product innovation process of New Product Development from inception through to Launch, including specification, sales territories, price and colors
" Driving a solution set across development teams through market requirements, product contract, and positioning
" Developing and implementing go-to-market plan for product launches
" Act as the guardian for brand issues relating to the identified products
" Underpin new product development activity with sound customer needs analysis and preliminary financial modeling.
" Coordinate the introduction of new product and product revision programs, acting as team leader, using Product Lifecycle Management
We are looking for those with:
" EDUCATIONAL PROFILE - Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience ( Degreed professionals will be given priority consideration)
" EXPERIENCE LEVEL - Minimally, we would like to see candidates with at least 1-3+ years' experience in functional role, either in product management as described, or supporting training, installation, and other pre/post sales efforts in a similar manner.
" Those with SPECIFIC industry experience, pertaining to various types of construction/building materials, roofing products, natural or cultured stone products, fenestration solutions, etc., will be given priority consideration.
In addition, we would like to see those with:
" Exceptional verbal and written communication
" Strong interpersonal and communication skills
" Strong analytics and modeling background with ability to interpret findings into relevant, actionable and understandable business insights and actions
" Excellent organizational and project management skills
" Ability to routinely visit plants to provide support, evaluate plant operations, and provide requested assistance
" Ability to attend various regional, national meetings, trade shows and customer events
" Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced dynamic environment
" Valid driver's license is required
REGIONAL TRAVEL REQUIRED - Travel up to 20-40% required
