The Cardiovascular Division of the Department of Medicine at the University Of Miami Miller School Of Medicine is seeking applications for Clinical Cardiologists (Staff Physicians).The Cardiovascular Division has state-of-the-art clinical programs in cardiology including Interventional Cardiology, Heart Failure, and Cardiac Electrophysiology, and collaborates closely with Cardiac Surgery. UHealth, University of Miami Health System is the only University Medical Center is South Florida. The University Of Miami Miller School Of Medicine (UMMSOM) is the leading research institution in South Florida. UHealth, University of Miami Health System delivers world-class clinical care throughout South Florida, pioneering research in Stem Cell therapies, electrophysiology and structural heart disease, with a visionary approach to medical education. The UHealth Tower is a 500-bed hospital that offers comprehensive cardiovascular services including active programs in interventional cardiology (advanced coronary and structural interventions), electrophysiology, and cardiothoracic surgery. The UHealth Tower Flagship Hospital is part of an integrated medical campus that includes a large county hospital (Jackson Memorial Hospital) and the Miami Veterans Affair Hospital.

The requirements are as follows: Applicants must have an MD degree from a recognized accredited university (or foreign equivalent), be board certified/eligible in Cardiovascular Diseases, with a current US medical license and eligible for a Florida medical license.

Patient safety is a top priority. As a result, during the Influenza ("the flu") season (September through April), the University of Miami School of Medicine requires all employees who provide ongoing services to patients, work in a location (all Hospitals and clinics) where patient care is provided, or work in patient care or clinical care areas, to have an annual influenza vaccination. Failure to meet this requirement will result in rescinding or termination of employment.
