Campus Security Authority Statement:This position is designated as a Campus Security Authority. A Campus Security Authority (or CSA) is defined as an "official of the institution with significant responsibility for student and campus activities." A CSA is required to immediately report any crime that is reported to them to the University Police who will then review, evaluate, and investigate the reported crime. Annual training is required by the Department of Education for all personnel who have been designated as a Campus Security Authority.

The President's Leadership Program Fellow will support the President's Leadership Program (PLP) by welcoming and orienting new students to Christopher Newport University and the President's Leadership Program. This position is generally a one-year appointment. Upon mutual agreement, the President's Leadership Program may extend a contract for one additional year (May 31, 2026)
Work Tasks:Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Demonstrated organizational and time management skills. Must be highly motivated, innovative and creative. Strong computer skills. Ability to foster positive internal and external public relations. Ability to work both independently and on a team.
Required Education:Must be a 2022, 2023 or 2024 graduate of Christopher Newport University.
December 2023 or May 2024 Graduate of Christopher Newport University preferred.
Significant demonstrated experience providing leadership to peers.
Additional Consideration - Experience:Prior experience and involvement with extracurricular activities and community service.
