GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

This position is responsible for the strategic planning, ongoing continuous quality improvement, and productivity improvement of the Revenue Operations function for DaVita Kidney Care, a healthcare company with annual revenue of $12B. This position leads the development of solutions and solidifies existing processes that result in quantifiable financial success for DaVita's Revenue Operations (ROPS) function through the evolution of our Revenue Cycle (RC) systems.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBLITIES: Yes

Position has full supervisory responsibility for recruitment, retention, hiring, professional development, performance review, succession planning, and termination for all direct reports.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The VP of Revenue Operations, Process and Technology will partner with Revenue Cycle Management and technology teams to ensure effective technology development and process improvements to support compliance and other key revenue cycle management performance metrics. The ideal candidate must be well versed in change management on a broad scope for system updates. system upgrades and associated process modifications. Project portfolio will include, but not be limited to: improvements for DaVita's claims processing to include Medicare registration, how to leverage artificial intelligence to optimize RC processes, oversight of revenue cycle billing systems, leading DaVita's response to billing implications of major clinical and regulatory changes: HIFS, Calcimemetics -

IT Systems

  • Accountable for long and short-term RC systems roadmap
  • Partner with operations and IT stakeholders to lead full-life cycle development of tools and processes to improve ROPS function
  • Functional Architect of RC systems for Billings, Collections, Registration, Admissions, Cash Processing, System Setup
  • Oversight of RC systems integration with existing systems: Finance (Oracle), Clinical Systems (Snappy, CWOW, Pharos), Shared (Workday, DUCK, Ellie), Change Healthcare (ePremis, ClearingHouse), Welldyne Rx
  • Chair RC system prioritization committee
  • RC representative on clinical system prioritization

Compliance

  • Responsible for identification and reporting of potential and actual compliance issues
  • SME on RC system operations in support of legal compliance investigations
  • Accountable for systems and process changes required to meet regulatory requirements

Team Leadership

  • Responsible for ROPS Business Analyst Team
  • Responsible for Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) RC Audit Team
  • Other lane responsibilities as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

(Education, licenses, certifications, and experience required to fulfill the essential duties, include computer skills as required):

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Business Administration required
  • Master's degree in Business Administrations (MBA) strongly preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in Revenue Operations and and/or Revenue Control systems within the healthcare vertical required
  • Consulting background supporting clients in Healthcare ROPS/RC domain strongly preferred
