Visual Designer Intern

Location - Santa Clara, CA Hybrid

Responsibilities:

• As the Visual Designer Intern, you will play a vital role in expanding and enhancing our brand presence through illustrations, photography, and animation. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and collaborative environment, while contributing to the growth and success of our brand.
  

Illustrations/Animation

• Collaborating with the lead designer to update existing illustrations and create new sets that align with our brand identity for marketing campaigns, social media content, website graphics and product.
  
• Collaborate/conceptualize with UX to develop assets to integrate micro interactions and animations into the product interface.
  
• Create animated assets such as GIFs, short videos, and motion graphics to enhance our digital content and storytelling.
  

• Ensure all visual assets align with our brand guidelines and maintain a consistent look and feel.
  
• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies(ai), and best practices in illustration, photography, and animation.
  

Experience:

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Animation or related field.
  
• Strong portfolio showcasing proficiency in illustration, photography, and animation.
  
• Understanding of basic motion graphics and animation
  
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, etc.) and other relevant design and animation software.
  
• Creative thinker with a keen eye for detail and a passion for visual storytelling.
  
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  
• Prior internship or relevant experience in illustration, photography, or animation is a plus.
  
• Use and familiarity of the Chegg product, specifically Chegg Study.
  
• Have the ability to work for 10 continuous weeks in the summer
  
• Have the ability to work 40 hours per week
  
• Can be onsite 3 days/ week based in our Santa Clara, CA office.
