Your role:

As a Warehouse Operator 3 at MilliporeSigma, you will be responsible for the receipt of all incoming materials, supplies, equipment and returned goods. Routes or delivers material to storage or production areas. Safely operates a variety of material handling equipment, which may include narrow aisle, wire guided Operator up machines.

  • Receive and put away of all incoming materials, supplies, equipment and returned goods
  • Unload trailer using power equipment, verify freight and sign bill of lading. Sort, inspect and receive in the appropriate system IE SAP
  • Put product away using scanner or computer system
  • Resolve product issues with Procurement
  • Schedule dock appointments with carriers
  • Packs items for shipment to customer
  • Checks chemicals, catalog number, lot number, special requests information, unit size and weights against order documentation found in packing or receiving instructions
  • Pack the material, following established procedures and instructions while complying with hazard regulations
  • Apply all required labels and markings to box to comply with hazardous materials regulations
  • Weigh hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals using precision equipment into specific containers while following procedural and safety protocols
  • Obtain correct type and quantity of containers for weigh up
  • Weigh chemicals into containers according to packaging instructions and obtain weight checks
  • Pull samples for customers and/or quality control as required
  • Complete paperwork including tray tags, copies, and computer PKRV scan
  • Overpack both conf and prepack units for shipments utilizing the virtual boxing concept
  • Create ship ready units through understanding of the Clippership system
  • Receive and unload trucks utilizing the pallet jack (Walkie Rider) and forklift
  • Receive shipments using MIGO and document accordingly
  • Sample bulk products, following all safety and quality requirements, and ready for transportation to QC for further analysis
  • Prepare process orders for weighers by printing necessary paperwork, including the printing of labels, kosher seals, HANDS sheet, COA, and additional required paperwork
  • Post items as required to maintain workflow
  • Move Finished Goods, both conf and prepack, to proper storage areas and record movement through SAP
  • Scan and move Bulk material throughout warehousing and packaging areas as required by the TO's
  • Transfer sampled material from dock area to warehousing floor using designated equipment
  • Overpack items that require additional packaging components for long time shelf storage

Physical Attributes:

  • May occasionally wear appropriate protective gear, (hard hats, glasses/goggles, chemical resistant suits, gloves, safety shoes) and other personal protection equipment "PPE" to protect themselves from toxic or corrosive chemicals in the forms of liquids, solids, vapors or airborne particles
  • Will operate equipment at 30" heights
  • Employee will use computer monitors for long periods of time
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly sit, stand, walk, reach above the shoulder, stoop, kneel, twist, crouch or crawl for long periods of time
  • Ability to speak, hear and smell
  • Ability to consistently move 25 kgs, and occasionally lift 80 lbs without the assistance of equipment. You may occasionally lift more poundage with assistance
  • This job includes close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth vision and the ability to adjust focus
  • Regularly uses phones, computers, computer monitors and all office/laboratory equipment
  • You will also type at a computer keyboard and have the ability to read CRTs/computer monitors

Shift: 10:30pm-7:00am M-F

Who you are:

Basic Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6 months chemistry related work experience
  • Experience operating powered industrial equipment; trucks, and forklifts
  • 1+ year work experience in a warehouse setting
  • Shipping regulation knowledge and scanner proficiency
  • Experience packing/shipping hazardous materials
  • Basic PC skills
  • Operate SAP and WMS systems
  • Understand basic shipping regulations
  • Attention to detail/ organized
  • Good communication, able to work through problems
  • Be able to work by yourself
  • Have a Team attitude
  • Familiarity with computers
  • Knowledge of SAP
