Position Summary

Receives, stock, pick, ship finished product and or components for manufacturing depending on the area assigned which can be in the Shipping area or the manufacturing support area.
Essential Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Issue material accurately thru work orders, min/max levels or pick release.

Stock components in carousel bins or in racks thru both purchased or work orders.

Can research adjustments of inventory counts and stock records, spoilage of or damage to stock, location changes using the Oracle system

Determines the location of stock, identification, maintaining a single locator as the standard.

Moves or transports material or supplies to other departments using the proper procedures to maintain inventory accuracy and quality.

Have the ability to maintain inventory and other stock records, manually or electronically using Oracle and or the proper forms.

Move material using equipment not requiring a certification to operate.

Have ability to explain count discrepancies and variations.

Assist in operational audits, review of work in process and shop order sampling.

Work with new employees as required.

Have ability to work with minimal supervision.

Have ability to work with the other departments.

Maintain a high work ethic.

There is no supervisory responsibility in this position.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (G ED); with a three year minimum related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information within one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions and percentages

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Ability to perform tasks (counts and inventory) with high a level of accuracy. Ability to perform job duties with a minimum of supervision. Ability to follow written instruction. Ability to work well with people. Ability to complete all stockroom paperwork. Ability to cross- train all stockroom personnel in all aspects of functions attributed to the area assigned.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to propane fumes when the forklift is operating. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate although it can be noisier when the forklift is in use and trucks are moving into and out of the shipping dock area.
