Description

The Water Management Quality Coordinator assists in the delivery, application, control and documentation of Chlorine Dioxide (CLO2) generation for the RRH system. The duties also include cooling tower water monitoring and recording and assistance in the weekly documentation of oil tank levels as needed.

SUMMARY:

The Water Management Quality Coordinator assists in the delivery, application, control, repair, maintenance, and documentation of Chlorine Dioxide (ClO2) generation, boiler and cooling tower chemical distribution systems at Newark Wayne and Clifton Springs Hospitals.

Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate the delivery and chemical drum distribution to the proper areas and transfer, switch out drums when needed.
• Perform troubleshooting of issues with the ClO2 generators, boiler & cooling tower chemical feed systems, and make minor repairs and adjustments.
• Record and interpret daily readings and routine testing, and adjust ClO2 generators, boiler & cooling tower chemical feed systems, to optimize water quality.
• Assist 3rd party vendor with Legionella water sample collection and testing as required.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Prior experience in water treatment applications in a health care/industrial or commercial environment is preferred.
• Specific experience handling and or managing ClO2 generation, boiler & cooling tower chemical distribution preferred
• Required to participate in training session provided by Rochester Regional Health chemical vendor to acquire an overall knowledge of Legionella and other waterborne pathogens, understanding the importance of the water treatment used.

Required Licensure/Certification Skills:
• Current New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) Category 7G Pesticides Applicator/Technician Certification or ability to obtain within 3-6 months of hire.

• Valid NYS driver license. Requires routine travel between Newark Wayne and Clifton Springs Hospitals and off-sites.

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

PAY RANGE: $20.50 - $30.00
