Ardurra is seeking a Water/Wastewater CAD Technician/Designer to join our staff in Miami, Florida

Primary Function

Candidate would use CAD equipment/software to provide support to engineers by preparing civil, environmental, and mechanical engineering drawings for construction. Specific drawing types would include routine plan layouts, profile and section views, detail drawings, mechanical pipe works and assemblies, display exhibits, sketches and schematic diagrams. Project types for which drawings would be developed include utilities construction (primarily water, wastewater, and reclaimed water) associated with civil development or municipal projects, civil/structural and mechanical improvements to treatment facilities or industrial projects, etc. Details to include all views and dimensions necessary for construction.

Primary Duties

• Responsible for the design of CAD plan layouts and drafting requirements of any project assigned
• Responsible for the record keeping and documentation of project requirements
• Responsible for plotting and checking drawings
• Make required modifications to drawings
• Candidates should have a solid understanding of drafting techniques and familiarity with engineering terminology and construction drawings
• Candidate should possess civil/mechanical aptitude with ability to complete basic mathematical calculations. The level of design decisions and responsibility required of the candidate will be based on their level of experience and familiarity with the type of project
• Candidate should possess good communication & collaboration skills
• Will perform other duties as may be assigned by Project Manager

Education and Experience Requirements

• Entry-level classification normally requiring an Associate's degree or high school graduate with vo-tech training in basic drafting technology (or equivalent working knowledge/experience)
• 3+ years of CADD Design experience
• Knowledge of AutoCAD 2017 or greater, Civil 3D is preferred
• Understanding of layer standards
• Understanding of text fields
• Understanding of grading/elevation with feature lines
• Create offset profiles (preferred, not required)
• Knowledge of AutoCAD Plant 3D 2012 and/or Revit preferred
• Modeling proposed & existing grade surfaces preferred
• Knowledge of AutoDesk Pipe Network preferred
• Knowledge of AutoDesk Pressure Pipe networks preferred
• Knowledge of ArcGIS is a plus
• Strong Computer Skills (MS Word, Excel, Teams, etc.)
