Our Worldwide Infrastructure team is responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and management of all network infrastructure in the retail stores, core data centers, cloud/peering interconnects, regional network access points, and Internet. The wireless team works in direct connection with our Retail teams to design wireless infrastructure capabilities to ensure application performance and compliance, best practice adherence, and overall performance of the wireless ecosystem. Additionally, the wireless team owns the full lifecycle management of critical tools for the wireless ecosystem. As a member of the wireless team, you will be responsible for designing, integrating, managing, and supporting the suite of wireless network infrastructure services with a focus on Devops, integrating multivendor wireless clients, refinement of internal tooling and utilize applied engineering techniques to implement new technology initiatives.

Skills

• Advanced understanding of wireless and RF networking concepts and design

• Experience with wireless design tools like Ekahau and AirMagnet

• Understands DevOps principles like a single source of truth and configuration abstraction

• Can interface programmatically with wireless tools and platforms using tools like APIs, Python and Ansible

• Understands CI/CD topics and development methodologies including pipelines, pull requests, git, command line, etc.

• Advanced knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, address schemes, subnets, LAN/WAN, routing, and software defined networking.

• Understands wireless security challenges including key management, rogue AP detection, and 802.1X enterprise authentication

Experience

• 8+ years practical relevant experience in large-scale wireless network support and design.

• Excellent knowledge of wireless networking technologies (802.11 & RF)

• Deep understanding of IP network fundamentals and packet capture analysis.

• Excellent analytical skills

• Experience in software development and coding

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Experience in building operational processes and developing supporting documentation.

Responsibilities

• Identify, develop, and deliver technical solutions that improve the availability and performance of our wireless network technologies.

• Identify and deliver solutions that reduce operational impact to customers and enable them with scalable, resilient, and cost optimized services.

• Work with business partners to identify and correct issues that arise with technologies, applications or devices that use the wireless infrastructure

• Resolves problems of diverse scopes as they arise, escalating complex issues where analysis of the situation requires in-depth evaluation and judgment.
