NGHS is currently seeking a Radiologic Technologist in Gainesville
Full Time ,Monday-Friday 7:00a-3:30p
Department Overview: The organization shall maintain medical imaging services that meet professionally approved standards and Federal and State laws for radiation safety and staff qualifications and requirements according to patient needs. The medical imaging services, particularly ionizing medical imaging procedures, shall be free from hazards for patients and personnel. Medical Imaging Services provided at Imaging Center Gainesville are: Computer Tomography, CT Lung Cancer Screening Exams, CT Calcium Scoring, MRI (1.5 and 3T), Cardiac MRI, Breast MRI, Prostate MRI, Mammography, 3D Mammography, Ultrasound, Breast Biopsies (Stereotactic, Ultrasound, and MRI), Nuclear Medicine, PET/CT, Bone Density, Diagnostic X-ray, Fluoroscopy.
The Imaging Department at Gainesville Imaging Center serves age groups the same as those of the general patient population at NGMC. Imaging Center Gainesville is open Monday thru Friday 6-18:00, and every other Saturday 8- 13:00 for Mammography and MRI only.
Job Summary: Under the direction of a Radiologist and Supervisor, performs radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgement with ingenuity and initiative to apply ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis. Assumes responsibility for designated areas of procedures required. The scope of care includes age groups ranging from newborn to elderly. May be required to perform Bone Density exams.
