Strategy & Innovation Consultant or Associate DOE

Remote within OR, WA, ID or UT

We are hiring for a position within the Strategy & Innovation team. Depending on qualifications, the role may be at either the Associate level (applying directly from undergrad or with limited relevant job experience) or the Consultant level (candidate has MBA and/or sufficient relevant job experience). This group will lead project teams to support strategic analysis, strategy formulation and development on behalf of both the enterprise and individual business units and functional groups.

General Functions and Outcomes

  • Conduct secondary research on a range of key topics and issues, distill relevant findings
  • Generate hypotheses on key strategic issues and partner in creating work plans to evaluate
  • Execute analytics frameworks that could forecast market sizes, financial projections, ROIs, and/or other quantitative market trends that are relevant for projects
  • Track market trends, highlighting implications for organization and line of business strategy
  • Lead work with teams across organization to answer key strategic questions
  • Identify key opportunity areas for enhanced strategic planning
  • Create and oversee analyses to generate business insights and trends impacting Cambia. This may be related to preparing market overviews, benchmarking competitors, assessing industry developments, evaluating potential new business cases within the company, and exploring partnerships / acquisition targets.
  • Develop workplans and convene cross-functional teams to deliver strategy projects.
  • Serve as project leader representing Corporate Strategy to lead internal engagements.
  • Facilitate workshops with subject matter experts, with a change management focus, to rapidly develop recommendations to present to leaders.
  • Support overall corporate strategy and innovation planning with focus on long term growth.
  • Partner in annual planning activities, including translation of organizational goals and objectives into initiatives, timelines, and plans.
  • Develop and communicate key messages and conclusions to project sponsors, stakeholders
  • Support solution design and implementation of recommendations to ensure initiatives can deliver on the expected outcomes.
  • Proactively address operational issues and collaborate with team members to solve problems quickly and thoughtfully.

Minimum Requirements to be considered for the Associate level:
  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business, Math, Statistics, or related field
  • Previous experience in business strategy development through management consulting, investment banking, or an in-house strategy team (including internship experience)
  • Comfort with both quantitative and qualitative information.
  • Executive-level presence and communication style.
  • Strong intellectual curiosity and interest in healthcare industry

Additional Minimum Requirements to be considered for the Consultant level:
  • Previous experience in business strategy development through management consulting, investment banking, or an in-house strategy team.
  • Well-established strategy toolkit (research, quantitative analysis, qualitative synthesis, written/oral communication).
  • Comfort and facility with both quantitative and qualitative information.
  • Executive-level presence and communication style.
  • Development and cultivation of senior-level relationships.
  • Strong familiarity with healthcare industry trends.
  • Consultant would have a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in business strategy development equivalent education.

Work Environment
  • Work primarily performed in a flexible combination of home and office locations within Oregon, Washington, Idaho, or Utah.
  • Travel may be required within Cambia's four-state footprint (OR, WA, ID, UT) and potentially beyond for conferences or other events.
  • May be required to work outside of normal hours.

The base pay annual salary range for the Associate is $69,020.00 - $119,770.00.

The bonus target for this position is 10%.

The base pay annual salary range for the Consultant is $84,245.00 - $145,145.00.

The bonus target for this position is 15%.
